Premier League table from games played in April

As April draws to a close, failed pranks reduced to fading memories and half-eaten Easter eggs left loose in the cupboard, the Premier League clicks into its final month. England's top-flight table looked very different at the end of March; Arsenal enjoyed an eight-point lead at the Premier League summit, Tottenham had not yet lost the mysterious ability to end every weekend in fourth and Aston Villa were in the bottom half of the division. 30 minutes is an awfully long time in football and all manner of change and chaos can be wreaked across 30 days. Here's how the Premier League table would look from games contested in the pivotal month of April alone. Sainz questions whether Russell/Verstappen battle was 'personal'

Image
Carlos Sainz has questioned whether Max Verstappen and George Russell were making their battle "personal" during the opening lap of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Sprint race. The two drivers engaged in a scrap for P3 on Lap 1 of the 17-lap encounter, resulting in contact between them at Turn 2. Verstappen eventually got back in front and finished in third, with Russell ending the day in fourth. Verstappen and Russell shared a tense exchange in parc ferme after the event, while Sainz – who claimed P5 in the Sprint behind the duo – gave his take on what he witnessed during their first-lap fight. Sainz on 'personal' Verstappen/Russell battle "I had to take avoiding action more than anything else," Sainz told media, including TheFOXposts.Com . "There's no space. I nearly caught them both. "They were very aggressive, and it looked like they were taking it personal at some point because it was a bit all over the place for them.&

How many times have AC Milan won the Champions League?

Image
While we all like to see the sides that are regarded as the best in the world face off in the latter stages, it is also incredibly exciting to see team that weren't expected to get very far reach the final of the Champions League. That is exactly what will happen in the 2022/23 campaign because we are being treated to a semi-final Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan. Read the latest Champions League news here feed AC Milan's Champions League triumphs Winning the European Cup/ Champions League seven times is a remarkable achievement for any club but what makes AC Milan's record so impressive is that they have won it in four different decades, showing a repeated ability to build elite sides ra

Low-key campaign launch fits Biden strategy for chaotic political era: ANALYSIS

Image
He served notice once again that he's not about to change. By the standards of the wild past decade-plus, not to mention the tumult of the last few weeks, the launch was utterly conventional and outright normal -- a throwback in tone and format that fits the person if not necessarily the era he happens to lead in. President Joe Biden is, as of Tuesday, officially a candidate for reelection in 2024. It ends an extended period of will-he-or-won't-he speculation leavened by no small amount of should-he-or-shouldn't-he Democratic angst, unusual in part given that no incumbent president eligible for an additional term has chosen not to seek it in more than half a century. Biden, of course, has been in public life nearly that long. In announcing in a low-key manner, on a date with meaning for few beyond the superstitious, he served notice once again that he's not about to change. "The question we are facing is whether in the years ahead, we have more freedom or less fre
