The Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Commanders face off on Saturday in a Week 3 NFL preseason showdown at FedEx Field.
Joe Burrow Still Out
Joe Burrow is still trying to recover from a calf injury and he’s not going to be able to go in this Game. It’s still unclear if he’s going to be ready for Week 1, and if he can’t go the Bengals might have some issues. Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning have both played in the preseason and they are going to be the guys under center here. In the first preseason Game the Bengals were defeated 36-19 and in the last Game against the Falcons they played to a 13-13 draw. In the last Game Browning completed 16 of his 22 passes for 140 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Trevor Sieman completed 7 of his 14 passes for 62 yards.
Commanders Look to Complete Perfect Preseason Season
The Commanders have picked up two wins so far in the preseason and they look to complete a perfect preseason here. In the first Game the Browns were able to secure the 17-15 victory and in the last Game against the Baltimore Ravens, the Commanders were able to secure the 29-28 victory. The Commanders made it clear they wanted to win that Game, and they were able to outscore the Commanders 9-7 in the 4th quarter and that was enough to win by a point. Sam Howell completed 19 of his 25 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Jake Fromm completed 10 of his 16 passes for 91 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Jacoby Brissett completed 7 of his 11 passes for 47 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception.

If the Bengals don’t have Burrow in the first game, they are going to be in big trouble. I don’t trust Siemian and Browning and they are both going to really struggle again in this game. The Commanders offense is going to find plenty of success with their quarterback play. Fromm is going to have another big game here and that will be enough for Washington get the job done. Back the Commanders against the spread.
